THE LUCRATIVE BUSINESS OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY

Crimes against humanity in the form of human organ trafficking are committed at an estimated rate of one per hour world-wide.  Patients who afford to pay $100,000-200,000 for kidney are served by international rings of gangsters in China, India, Pakistan Eastern Europe and Israel.

“Consenting” donors are paid $2,500-5,000 (if that) and are left behind without follow-up medical care.  The difference between the cost of the original kidney and the completed transplant service is pocketed by surgeons, nephrologists and hospital administrators.

The British paper The Guardian has a graphic report (May 27, 2012), of a Chinese migrant worker who was forcefully submitted into the kidney “harvesting” even though he changed his mind.

Note: Like other criminal trades the business of illegal transplant organs will continue to thrive because the international demand is growing.  Prevalence of diabetic kidney disease and kidney failure is growing with increasing incidence of diabetes due to cheap food supply and over-eating in Western countries.   The cheapest sugar and calories-loaded sources are various Cola, sugar sweetened sodas, and alcoholic beverages.

It’s time to start taxing sweetened beverages to reduce their consumption and use the proceeds for medical care.  Much the same as happened with cigarettes smoking.

CNN: HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN NORTH-EAST SINAI

As indicated in yesterday's blog we continue to report information and commentary about the trafficking of humans and of human organs for transplant purposes in Northeast Sinai.

The majority of the victims are black Africans from the country of Eritrea.  Some are from the Sudan.

Investigative reporters from various countries are getting interested.
Here is a preview of an upcoming report by CNN crew:

You can also read and watch it here:

The complete report is expected to be aired by CNN on 11/5/2011.

As we continue to establish the credibility of the facts, we shall discuss in the future the ethical/moral implications of physicians/surgeons who participate in this crime against humanity.

HUMAN ORGAN TRAFFICKING FOR TRANSPLANTATION

Human trafficking is a crime
against humanity
It involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transfering, harbouring or receiving a person through a use of force, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them.

Kidnapping helpless persons, refugees or children occurs in places where  lawlessness prevails.

WARNING: The video you are about to watch is extremely gruesome!

One such area of human trafficking is the Sinai desert (North East Egypt). There refugees from Eritrea (a suppressed country north of Ethiopia and south of Sudan governed by a dictatorship) are caught by locals and taken hostage for ransom.  Some hostages are summarily executed, or worse - "put to sleep" for the purpose of extracting their internal body organs such as liver, kidneys, lungs or corneas by intermediaries and surgeons-physicians.

The organs are then transported to "civilized" medical centers and transplanted to desperate patients who pay large sums of money for the organ(s) to the chain of intermediaries and surgeons-physicians who perform the surgical-transplant.

The video below exposes how helpless Eritreans are caught
in the web of the organ purveyors-poachers,
where the organ traffickers work and under what conditions.

We shall return to you tomorrow with a discussion on the ethical implications of healthcare "professionals" in this branch of human trafficking.
